Coalition Releases Stand News Preservation Project

In honor of World Press Freedom Day, the Coalition of Students Resisting the CCP released the Stand News Preservation Project.
Stand News was one of Hong Kong’s last-standing pro-democracy media outlets. Up until the Hong Kong Police Force raided Stand News in December 2021, the dedicated team of reporters, photographers, artists, and editors continued to pursue truth and justice. In order to preserve some of their award-winning work, we’ve translated their investigative reporting on the 2012 Lamma Island ferry collision.
The Coalition of Students Resisting the CCP encourages all cross-movement allies to continue supporting independent news platforms in Hong Kong, as many former Stand News/Apple Daily employees work for these platforms. Platforms to support include:
